This Or That: Valentine’s Edition with N.J. Walters

Candy hearts OR box of chocolates?

Chocolates, as long as it’s dark chocolate. YUM!

Flowers OR jewelry?

I love flowers, but not roses. I want carnations or wildflowers—something that will last longer.

Romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant OR romantic picnic outdoors?

Picnic, for sure. I’m not big on fancy foods or restaurants. Given a choice, I’d rather be taken out for a big breakfast. Pancakes, anyone?

Art museum date OR paint your own pottery date?

I’d take the museum. There’s such a variety both parties would likely enjoy it more. Pottery is something I’d want to do on my own.

Couple sweaters OR couple tattoos?

Tattoos would be fun, as long as they were extremely small and didn’t include anyone’s name.

Fancy wine OR decadent milkshakes?

Milkshake, hands down. I’m not a fancy person, so fancy wines are lost on my palate.

Getaway on a Caribbean cruise OR getaway on an Alaskan cruise?

I’ve never been on a cruise. While I prefer the heat to the cold, if I was going on a cruise, I think I’d rather go to Alaska, assuming it was summer and not winter.

Personally, I’d rather hide away at a cabin on a beach—not a sandy beach but a rocky, find cool shells and rocks and treasures beach. A fire on the beach with that special someone, maybe toast some marshmallows. Pure heaven.

Stuffed teddy bear gift OR silk teddy lingerie gift?

Love a stuffed teddy bear. As for lingerie…if it’s not cotton and warm, I’m not wearing it. LOL

N.J. Walters

Once upon a time N.J. had the idea that she would like to quit her job at the bookstore, sell everything she owned, leave her hometown, and write romance novels in a place where no one knew her. And she did. Two years later, she went back to the bookstore and her hometown and settled in for another seven years. One day she gave notice at her job on a Friday morning. On Sunday afternoon, she received a tentative acceptance for her first erotic romance novel and life would never be the same. N.J. has always been a voracious reader, and now she spends her days writing novels of her own. Vampires, werewolves, dragons, time-travelers, seductive handymen, and next-door neighbors with smoldering good looks—all vie for her attention. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to live it.

  • I have to agree with NJ’s comments on this or that. I myself would love to go to Alaska. Although, we are or were avid cruisers we stopped going a couple years ago because they were too busy nickel and diming everything which is very unfortunate because we really enjoyed it when we did go. Now we just go to resorts and enjoy the heat.
