Howdy, it’s Donna Michaels, and I’m excited to share a little bit about my travels to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, the setting for my new release: THE ARMY RANGER’S SURPRISE.
A few years ago, I was in Dallas for the Romantic Times Book Convention. I had a great time visiting the state where my fictional cowboys reside and meeting my favorite author, Jill Shalvis. Here’s a photo of me in fangirl mode as I tried not to tower over her too much.
Since we were in Dallas, my husband and I ventured out to walk the area where President Kennedy was assassinated. This is a photo of Dealy Plaza.
It was truly something to stand there and look at the grassy knoll, as well as the book depository. Sure does get you thinking.
Before we went home, we couldn’t leave Texas without heading to a honky tonk. I have an author friend who used to live in Texas, and she and her husband took us to Billy Bob’sin Fort Worth. Not only was there good food, live music, and live bull roping, they had a fun photo op that my husband and I took advantage of…twice.
We had a great time visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth area and would recommend you add it to your future travels!
