About Bare Naked Lola, a Lola Cruz Mystery, book 3
Going undercover is second nature for Private Investigator Lola Cruz, but she’s out of her league when the case of a murdered Royals Courtside Dancer leads her to a local nudist resort. Parading around the sidelines of Sacramento’s professional basketball scene in a barely-there cheerleading outfit is one thing—but parading around in nothing but smile? If she has any chance of hiding this from her traditional family and on-again/off-again boyfriend Jack, she’s going to have a lot more than her duct tape bra and killer dance moves to keep under wraps….
Melissa Bourbon, who sometimes answers to her Latina-by-marriage name Misa Ramirez, gave up teaching middle and high school kids in Northern California to write full-time amidst horses and Longhorns in North Texas. She fantasizes about spending summers writing in quaint, cozy locales, has a love/hate relationship with yoga and chocolate, is devoted to her family, and can’t believe she’s lucky enough to be living the life of her dreams.

Pretty interested with the story, exciting. I can’t wait to read it. Thanks for sharing these with us.
Love the Lola mysteries and am so happy book 3 is now available. Also, I think this is the cutest cover yet!!!
I think this book looks awesome and am so excited for you! The trailer completely rocks!
The series looks interesting. Generally, with an author new to me, I read the first book in the series to determine whether I like it. I checked on Amazon and the debut on Kindle is almost $10.00. Rather expensive for a debut. Any idea the reason? This is the cost of the hardcover!
Only reluctance that I have in trying the Lola series.
Also, the Lola series is written under a pseudonym, Misa Ramirez. Any reason?
Thanks and good luck!
Marijane, Great questions! The series was originally published by St. Martins’ Press/Thomas Dunne Books in hardcover. They won’t reduce the eBook price, nor have they decided to take it to mass market paperback. Bare-Naked Lola is the 3rd in the series, but you can definitely jump in there as each book stands alone.
I also write A Magical Dressmaking mystery series with NAL, which is a straight cozy mystery, and it’s published under Melissa Bourbon (my maiden name). So after writing the 3rd Lola book, it was decided to try to bridge the two names. Future books will all be either Melissa Bourbon or Melissa Bourbon Ramirez (my married name).
Hope you give Lola a try. She’s so fun!
