This song is so gentle and twisted at the same time – I consider it the flagship song for Zera’s feelings in FIND ME THEIR BONES.
2. Phoebe Bridgers – Moon Song
A song about fragmenting relationships and being unable to do anything about it, this is definitely a Lucien and Zera song!
3. Paramore – Liar
Considering Zera betrayed Lucien to pursue her own heart, this feels a lot like the perfect song for her. She never told him who she really was until it was too late, and is regretting it a lot.
4. Kali Uchis – I Wish You Roses
This song feels like soft petals falling in your ears, I love it so much. IMO, it’s about the power of love and its ability to both help move people forward and heal them at the same time! The love between Zera and Lucien will never really fade, and that’s what this song represents to me.
5. Loveless – Running Up That Hill (cover)
WE ALL LOVE RUNNING UP THAT HILL. STILL. I DON’T CARE IF IT’S BEEN ALMOST 2 YEARS SINCE STRANGER THINGS, THIS SONG IS SO DANG GOOD!!!!!! I’ve had it on repeat lately, but I think it echoes a lot of what the end of FIND ME THEIR BONES encapsulates – the long hard slough up the hill to a new perspective, a new direction, no matter how difficult or impossible it seems.
