10 Fast Facts About Miles and Miles of You with Jennifer Bonds

1.This book required ALL the research. (Read: productive procrastination.) Though I love a good road trip and have traveled up and down the east coast, I’ve never traveled Route 66 or been inside a 1970’s Airstream. The good news? Research is paying off and reviewers are saying I’ve nailed it, so if you’re ready for an adventure, definitely check out MAMOY!

2.Lucy, the heroine in MAMOY, is obsessed with K-Pop, so fans of the genre are sure to recognize some of their favorites sprinkled in throughout the story because what fun is a road trip without great music, amirite?

3.Miles, the hero in MAMOY, is a tech billionaire who’s used to having the world at his fingertips, so when he agrees to travel as Lucy does—on a strict, no-frills budget—it makes for some very interesting challenges.

4.There’s a mechanical bull. Enough said. 😉

5.Every place Miles and Lucy visit is inspired by a real-life restaurant or attraction on The Mother Road. (Except for Redd’s BBQ Barn. That is 100% fictional.)

6.Lucy’s hamster Gizmo (aka Gremlin) is such a big part of the story, he got his own fan club. (IYKYK.)

7.Of all the secondary characters I’ve written, Lucy’s grandmother Celeste is one of my all-time favorites. I admire her larger-than-life personality, and while my grandmother didn’t have blue hair or a hemp garden, Celeste’s “zero f*cks given” approach to life is 100% my grandma, who was the life of the party.

8.Planning a capsule wardrobe is no joke. Lucy’s capsule wardrobe is limited to 15 items of clothing, including 3 pairs of panties. In order to ensure she was properly outfitted for her two-week cross-country journey, this meant skipping pajamas. Which probably would’ve been fine if Miles hadn’t decided to tag along at the last minute…

9.We’ve all heard of the one bed trope, but have you tried one tent? *wiggles eyebrows*

10.Miles and Lucy have their share of shenanigans as they make the cross-country drive, but one of my favorites is when they let the internet choose their next destination and they’re forced to spend the night at a literal Love Shack…in the Honeymoon Suite. Thankfully, what happens on the road stays on the road…
