Hot New Release and Homemade Hot Cocoa

Hi, Entangled Readers!

Kelly Anne Blount and Lynn Rush here! We’re so excited to be talking to you about CROSSING THE LINE and sharing our favorite homemade hot chocolate recipe with you! Why hot cocoa? Well, it’s starting to get a bit cooler and what’s better than heating up your night with a delicious drink and a hot new YA sports romance release!

Okay, before we head into the kitchen to make our tasty beverage, let’s chat about CROSSING THE LINE, the standalone sequel to IN THE PENALTY BOX.

As we were writing IN THE PENALTY BOX we fell in love with several of the secondary characters. Gramps, Caleb, Jessa, and Preach were a few of our favorites and of course, the character we all love to hate, Pax!

While we adore Brodie and Willow, we wanted to focus on a new couple in CROSSING THE LINE. The choice was easy, Preach Armstrong! Not only was he one of our favorite characters from IN THE PENALTY BOX, the readers were big fans as well.

Preach a.k.a. Brodie “Wind” Windom’s best friend is a great guy. He gets good grades, comes from a close family, volunteers in his spare time, and he’s slated to play hockey at the University of Alabama in the fall.

Everything seems to be going perfectly until Preach hits a patch of black ice and his entire world is turned upside down.

Enter Grace, the new girl who stopped to save a dog in the middle of the road on a freezing cold Wisconsin night.

Much like Preach, Grace already has her future figured out. As soon as she graduates from her new school, Woodhaven High, she’ll be leaving for Basic Training. Grace plans on continuing her family’s military service in the Air Force by enlisting and becoming a Special Tactics pararescueman.

But, when one of Woodhaven High’s favorite hockey players accidentally hits her with his car, her future plans are shattered.

Suddenly, Grace and Preach are both faced with obstacles and uncertainty.

CROSSING THE LINE is a story about coming face-to-face with devastating circumstances, finding love, and the importance of forgiveness.

CROSSING THE LINE

Synopsis:

A patch of black ice is all it takes for Ryan “Preach” Armstrong’s perfectly planned future to skid out of control. The car crash shatters his hockey dreams…and injures Woodhaven’s newest student, Grace Milner. As much as this feisty track phenom gets under Preach’s skin in all the best and worst ways, she might just be his path to redemption…

Grace can’t believe that all it took was seriously bad timing and a hot but prickly hockey player to threaten her lifelong dream of joining the Air Force. Now, instead of prepping for the track season and upcoming start of basic training, she has to complete community service with the absolute last person she would ever want to be stuck with—the guy who shattered her future.

When two fierce competitors collide this hard, the only result is heartbreak…or an epic victory as they cross the finish line together.
