#IShipIt with A.J. Pine

One of my favorite shows right now is BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, and I’ve shipped Amy Santiago and Jake Peralta from the start. They’re the perfect example of rivals, to friends, to lovers, and they just keep getting better.

It started like this…

Then there was the time Amy lost a bet to Jake, and payment was going on a date with him—while dressed in an 80s prom dress.

Later, right before Jake had to leave for a long undercover assignment, he dropped the bomb that he had feelings for Amy, even though she was dating Teddy.

And even though when Jake came back, Amy said she didn’t want to date another cop, this eventually happened, and we all cheered.

After Jake was in a hostage situation on Christmas Eve, a la his favorite movie Die Hard, Amy made sure he knew how much she loved him.

And when they finally tied the knot, Amy made Jake’s honeymoon fantasy come true and dressed as Bonnie Bedelia in Die Hard…

Before they knew they’d be spending their post toit nups with Captain Holt.

I’m so thrilled the show is renewed for a seventh season because I’m not ready to say good-bye to #peraltiago yet!

Jaime and I have been best friends—forever. Like, awkward teenager with braces forever. We barely crossed the line once, a million years ago, with a kiss, but we didn’t let it ruin what we have. He’s charming, hardworking, and no one makes me laugh till it hurts like him. Now we’re on a road trip to California, and he’s surprising me at every turn–helping me overcome my fear of heights, belting out my favorite songs, and looking way sexier with his shirt off than a best friend is supposed to.

I’ve been in love with Brynn for as long as I can remember. She’s sweet, sexy and brilliant and bottom line, there’s no one else I’d rather be stuck in a car with for the next five days. Except, she keeps talking about this other guy she’s got her sights set on. I made the mistake of letting her go once before. Now, I’m going to have to prove that the only guy she needs is right in front of her.

AJ Pine writes stories to break readers’ hearts, but don’t worry—she’ll mend them with a happily ever after. As an English teacher and a librarian, AJ has always surrounded herself with books. All her favorites have one big commonality–romance. Naturally, the books she writes have the same. When she’s not writing, she’s of course reading. Then there’s online shopping (everything from groceries to shoes). And a tiny bit of TV where she nourishes her undying love of vampires, superheroes, and a certain high-functioning sociopath detective. You’ll also find her hanging with her family in the Chicago ‘burbs.
