This week:

JACK’S ALMOST BETTER THAN SEX REESE’S CUP PEANUT BUTTER BANANA BREAD

with our special guest,

The Attraction of Adeline author, Lisa Wells

Who tried it: Lisa Wells, author of The Attraction of Adeline

Why she likes it: In The Attraction of Adeline, Adeline is a chef.  One morning, after an evening of mind-blowing sex between the hero and heroine, Adeline fixes banana bread.  Jack takes a bite and declares it almost better than sex.  When Adeline opens a bakery, one of her most popular items on the menu is Jack’s Almost Better Than Sex Banana Bread. Below is the recipe Addison uses to make her Almost Better Than Sex Banana Bread.

YIELD: 12 SLICES / PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES / COOK TIME: 55 MINUTES

Addison’s secret ingredient – Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.  Prepare your taste buds for a culinary delight.

Ingredients:

4 medium overripe bananas, mashed

1 egg

3/4 c. sugar

1/4 c. vegetable oil

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups All Purpose flour

1 1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp salt

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups (Plus one cup just to munch on while you’re cooking.)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Whisk together the bananas, sugar, egg, oil, peanut butter, and vanilla until smooth.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet and just mix until batter forms.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and peanut butter cups, careful to not overmix.

Line a 9×5 loaf pan with foil or parchment and lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 55 minutes (start checking for done-ness at 45 minutes, cover the top with foil at that point if needed to prevent over-browning).

Let cool before slicing.

Check out Lisa’s current release, The Attraction of Adeline today!

Fake it until you make it…

The Proposal: Adeline Rigby will live with Accountant Jack Foster and pretend to be his fake fiancée for one month in order for him to seal a promotion to partner. In return, Accountant Jack Foster will intimately tutor Adeline Rigby in French before she leaves for Paris where she will fulfill her dream of attending Le Cordon Bleu.

The Terms:

1. Maintain distance. Three get-to-know-you dates before announcing their engagement will be tempting enough.

2. No kissing. Okay, fine. Three kisses. Maybe four. And neck kisses don’t count.

3. No touchy feely stuff. Or at least not too many public displays of touchy-feely stuff.

4. No sex.

5. All right, all right. One night of sex in order to be a believable engaged couple.

6. Two nights of mind-blowing sex to make sure first night wasn’t a fluke.

7. Absolutely, positively, no falling in love.

Lisa Wells always knew there would come a time in her life when she’d pursue her dream career as a romance author. This is that time. Before this moment, she’s enjoyed a rollercoaster journey called – The Middle School Counselor – Dramas, Dreams, and Destinies. After many years of working with teenage girls, she knows when one comes in baffled because another girl hates her, the first question to ask is – “Did you steal her boyfriend?” Nine times out of ten the answer is some form of yes but…. While Lisa enjoys working with adolescents, she writes for adults. Her books contain: Sex, Scowls & Sass.
