Throwback Thursday with Diane Alberts

Hello everyone! I’m Diane Alberts (though I also write as Jen McLaughlin) and I thought it would be fun to have a little bit of Throwback Thursday fun! I just released a new book on December 7^th called SAY YOU’RE MINE, and it’s the fifth book in the Shillings Agency series under the Entangled Brazen imprint.

My characters, Steven and Lauren, have been best friends all their lives. Okay, more specifically, since they were in grade school and he gave her his only number two pencil so she wouldn’t get in trouble. (waits for chorus of aww’s to end) It, of course, takes one crazy night and a lot of booze for them to admit they might want to be more than friends.

Since my characters have known each other since they were kids, I thought it would be a little bit of fun to show you what I looked like when I was fourteen years old (yikes). And since I’m the littlest sister, and therefore a spoiled brat by nature, I’m dragging my two older sisters into this with me.

I have a photo with all three of us as kids, and then another from this year. Ready to see me as a teenager? Okay, here goes:

I’m the blonde haired one in the old picture, and, well, the red haired/blonde one in the second one! And I’m still rocking the same bangs, though I did take a fifteen year break from them before bringing them back, haha.

So there you have it! Me, when I was still dreaming about becoming a romance author, and now I’m lucky enough to write books with amazing characters like Steven and Lauren in them, with loads of history, chemistry, and steamy, hot sex. 😉
