Cover Love: OBSIDIAN by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Sometimes, when an author puts pen to paper…or fingers to keyboard, as the case may be…magic happens. We feel that way about all of our amazing Entangled authors’ books.

We revealed the fantastic The Fallen Queen cover just yesterday.

Now, as the excitement around the Entangled Publishing offices grows (did we mention we have a BIG reveal Wednesday?), the energy has been palpable.

Up today is the reveal of the unbelievably exciting YA sci-fi book Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Talk about magic happening. The Lux series is truly something else.

If you want to follow Jennifer’s journey with this book, start with this blog where she talks about writing the book in 8 days. Yes. 8. Days.

Here’s the lowdown on Obsidian from Publisher’s Weekly…

Children’s: Young Adult
Jennifer Armentrout’s SHADOW OF THE STARS, in which a seventeen-year-old Florida book blogger moves to Nowhere, West Virginia, expecting thick accents, outhouses, and maybe a cute farm boy or two – -only to find her new next door neighbor is a hot alien with a galaxy of enemies out to steal his abilities, to Liz Pelletier at Entangled, in a nice deal, in a three-book deal, for publication in December 2011 (World).

Official Blurb…

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Intrigued much? Uh huh, we thought so.
