If you’ve read anything about me anywhere, you’ve probably seen—well, okay, you probably couldn’t have missed seeing—that I’m a huge chocoholic. 🙂 So of course chocolate is the main feature of one of my favorite holiday recipes. I love love LOVE cookies called Peanut Blossoms, which are your basic peanut butter cookie but with a Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss on top.

Here’s the traditional recipe I use.

And here are a couple of tricks I’ve come up with for these cookies:

  1. Once your cookies are out of the oven and you put the Kisses on top, quickly transfer the batch to a separate (non-heated) cookie sheet or the inverted lids of large cookie tins, then stick the sheet or tins in the freezer for a few minutes. The Kisses will stop melting from the heat of the cookies and keep their “kiss” shape.
  1. For a real treat when you’re ready to eat, do exactly the opposite—heat the cookies up again! Just a few seconds to a minute in the microwave (test to find the right time for your oven), and the cookies get all soft and peanut buttery…the Kisses get all gooey…and OMG, I have no words!!! LOL

Enjoy!

On sale for just 99¢!

Worst. Day. Ever. After Lyssa Barnett’s sister tricks her into reprising her role at Snowflake Valley’s annual children’s party, she doesn’t think anything can be worse than squeezing into her too-small elf costume. Then tall, dark, and way too handsome Nick Tavlock shows up to play Santa…and an unexpected storm leaves them snowbound in the isolated lodge.

The last thing Nick wants is to spend a cozy Christmas Eve with a trio of kids and the woman who dumped him. But as much as Lyssa frustrates him, he can’t stop thinking about her. And soon, he’s fighting very un-Santa-like thoughts of kissing a certain sexy Miss Elf under the mistletoe. As Nick starts to fall for Lyssa all over again, he knows it will take nothing short of a miracle to have Lyssa in his arms on Christmas Day.
