The Promotions Team is Currently Seeking New Talent!

We are looking for Associate, Junior and Senior Publicists to join our team of talented professionals at Entangled Publishing. A publishing background is not required, but an aptitude for marketing and public relations is. We are seeking team members with strong sales skills and/or experience working in media environs.

 

Ideal applicants possess:

  • A passion for women’s romantic fiction
  • Must be results driven with the ability to work independently as a telecommuter
  • Effective organizational and project management skills
  • Polished communication skills (oral & written) for interactions with media, authors, and in-house constituencies
  • Extensive media contacts including book bloggers and industry influencers, or the ability to cultivate genre specific contacts for authors while working with ours
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Essential job duties of the Associate Publicist:

Works under the tutelage of assigned Senior Publicist to execute the publicity campaign for authors, develop media outreach plans, and cultivate media contacts pertinent to each individual author.

  • Utilizes internal project management software to communicate plans with team members
  • Submits ARC’s to industry influencers for the purpose of garnering reviews
  • Creates and oversees virtual blog tours and praise sheets for each author
  • Responsible for prize distribution from contests and giveaways
  • Uses social media on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads
  • Empowers authors to be part of their own marketing efforts (garnering media contacts, cover quote contacts, etc…)
  • Writes press releases and pitch letters, editing with and getting approval from Senior Publicist

 

Essential job duties of the Junior Publicist:

Previous marketing/PR experience required.

Works under the tutelage of assigned Senior Publicist to execute the publicity campaign for authors, develop media outreach plans, and cultivate media contacts pertinent to each individual author.

  • Utilizes internal project management software to communicate plans with team members
  • Submits ARC’s to industry influencers for the purpose of garnering reviews

Essential job duties of the Senior Publicist

Previous, publishing-related marketing/PR experience required.

Develops and implements publicity campaigns for assigned authors centered around a book release tour that includes a multi-city itinerary, speaking engagements, bookstore signings, and media appearances in each tour city, as well as strong media outreach and creative marketing efforts to build author branding.

  • Utilizes internal project management software to communicate plans with team members
  • Oversees and/or trains Associate and Junior publicists, offering input, brainstorming of publicity opportunities, writing and/or approval of press releases, pitches, and cultivation of media contacts
  • Acts as point person for inquiries pertaining to specific publicity plans
  • Develops creative pitch angles and targeted outreach lists
  • Writes press releases and pitch letters
  • Pitches and secures media coverage across national and regional broadcast, print, radio and online outlets
  • Actively develops and maintains relationships with media contacts
  • Cultivates relationships with bookstores
  • Shares resources with Associate and Junior publicists in a team-oriented virtual environment
  • Expert use of social media working with platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads
