Patricia A. Wolf participated in our Pinterest challenge to try and re-create a holiday inspired pin. Check out how she did.

I love decorating. I enjoy checking out what others do on Pinterest to see how creative people can get. Some holiday décor is pretty amazing stuff. I found two pins I really liked and added my own unique spin to them. I love candles and table accents, so I took a stab to create something of my own. My inspiration came from this two pins, but the rest of the work was all me.

First, I took a large candle and added candy canes.

I used a rubber band to keep it together, and then added a bow for the final touch. (Very easy to do.)

Second, I had a rod iron cascading candle set, I purchased 9 feet of garland, 8 tea lights, and 8 different types of accessories to stick in the garland. (I found these holiday décor items a Walmart and Michael’s.) I used the wire from the garland to warp around the candleholders and even to hold the accessories in place. (This allows changing out the accessories to be easy and hassle-free.) Nothing moved thanks to the sturdy garland.

I added tea lights to complete the look of the candle set. I arranged my dining room table with both the cascading candles and candy cane candle and I love the way it all turned out. I wasn’t trying to copy from Pinterest. I only sought for an idea that would launch me into something magical and I love how it all turned out.
