That was the note I woke up to September 18, 2010.

Prior to seeing it, I had been exhausted and shuffling around in my pajamas, trying to find the energy to tackle the day ahead. Then I lifted my eyes to the bathroom mirror and saw the Post-it note my husband had left for me.

The message was simple, but it meant so much. Over the next fifteen months, my husband kept surprising me with love notes, each written in a different color, and each posted on the mirror beside the previous one. They equaled over thirty notes in total by the time he had finished, and part of me thinks he would have kept going had it not been for the lack of space. See, I refused to take any of them down.
