Entangled Under the Mistletoe with Jenny Holiday

Hi! I’m Jenny Holiday, and I pretty much love everything about the holidays, but I think my favorite thing is just vegging on the sofa in front of the Christmas tree and feeling yourself sort of slow down, you know?

Favorite Holiday Song:

Tough call as I have very strong opinions about Christmas music, but I’m going to go with The Holly and the Ivy, specifically the Annie Lennox version. Her whole Christmas Cornucopia album is fantastic.

Favorite Holiday Food:

 Peppermint bark

Favorite Holiday Movie:

It’s hard to beat A Charlie Brown Christmas, but I do also enjoy the heck out of watching the Lifetime and Hallmark channel Christmas movies when I go home to visit my parents. My dad is also a fan of them (really), and I don’t have cable, so we really get into it. Sometimes he pre-screens them so that when I get there, he has them already triaged.

Are you the type of person who on November 1st…thinks it’s time to break out the Christmas music or thinks It’s not even Thanksgiving yet folks!

Yep! And I live in Canada, where Thanksgiving is early October, so I am immune to the “it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, folks” argument!

Are you one of those shoppers who has gone through your list and are done shopping well ahead of Christmas or are you elbowing people out of your way on Christmas Eve to finish your shopping?

I’m somewhere in the middle. I hate shopping, so internet shopping has been a great thing for me! I buy everything online, usually in one sitting when I realize, “Oh, crap; time is getting tight!”

Hero’s Name: Jack Winter

Heroine’s Name: Cassie James

What would the perfect gift your hero would give your heroine and why?

Scotch – she loves it!

What would the perfect gift your heroine would give your hero and why?

Also Scotch – he loves it, too! It’s what brought them together.

Where would your hero or heroine secretly hang some mistletoe to catch an extra special holiday kiss and why?

I think Jack’s employees would hang some in the doorway to Jack’s office. Cassie doesn’t work there, but she stops by for lunch (after the HEA, of course). This would annoy Jack to no end (but not really).

Share an excerpt of your favorite kissing scene between these two characters.

Cassie started to protest that she wasn’t Jack’s girlfriend when the lemony musk of her not-boyfriend assaulted her senses. He stood behind her, sliding her coat off her shoulders at the same time he reached around and placed his lips on her jawline. He’d probably been aiming for her cheek, but she’d jumped a little, and he ended up where her jaw met her throat. His breath was warm, and his lips pressed against her skin felt like a brand. He left them there for a long moment, enough for her to register that everyone else was probably cataloguing the kiss as more than strictly polite.
