Top 5 Songs I Obsess On, And Every One of Them Will Rip Your Heart Out

with Kris Rafferty

Strangely enough, I hate sad endings, sad stories, movies, etc.  If it’s sad, and you give me the head’s up you’re about to tell me something sad, I’ll stop you.  Hand in your face, my head turned aside, and I’ll spit out, “Stop!  I don’t like sad!”  Except, apparently, in my songs.  These gut me.  Absolutely GUT me.  And I can’t hear them enough.  #OddFactAboutKris

Ghost in This House, performed by Alison Krauss

Wrongchilde – Falling In Love Will Kill You (feat. Gerard Way)

My Chemical Romance, “The Black Parade”

Pearl Jam’s “The End”

Beyoncé “If I Were A Boy”

What songs absolutely gut you every time you hear them? Let Kris know in the comments or find us on Twitter to chat.

She wrote her first story when she was six and never stopped. She received her BA at U/Mass Boston, married the love of her life, has three perfect children, and earned her third degree black belt in Parker American Kenpo Karate. She plays classical piano, loves road trips, and is a fanatic for warm water ocean. If she’s not writing, she’s reading all sorts of romance.
